Many case manufacturers vie for the title of a ‘Water Cooling Ready Product’ however few actually get it right, many even ‘half-attempt’ this by drilling three holes at the back of the chassis and say it is compatible with Water Cooling. However, the consumer is not so easily fooled and neither are the writers at Overclockers Tech. As far as we are concerned, if the product is unable to accommodate at least one 240mm sized radiator, then it is our opinion it is not fit for the purpose.

EVGA X79 With 4 EVGA GTX580 Sets 3DMark11 (X) World Record

12/1/2011 – EVGA X79 Classified & EVGA GTX 580 Classified take the 3DMark 11 Extreme (X) World Record

3DMark 11 is the latest version of the world’s most popular PC benchmark. This new benchmarks has a few preset settings within the tool to let you customize the benchmark to match the horsepower of the machine; the 3DMark 11 Extreme (X) setting is a true test for enthusiast hardware with a 1080P resolution, 4x MSAA, 16x Anisotropic Filtering and visuals that are cranked up.

While just doing some warmup runs on the brand new EVGA X79 Classified motherboard and 4x EVGA GTX 580 Classified graphic cards, Vince “k|ngp|n” Lucido scored a brand new 3DMark 11 Extreme (X) World Record. He was able to snag a score of over X12,500 points with the cards running at 1.3GHz Core clock and over 2400MHz Memory Clock.

EVGA hardware continues to break new world records in the area of high performance computing; a true testament to the dedication that EVGA has to enthusiast PC hardware.

EVGA Announces GTX560 Ti 448 Cores FTW and Classified

 

Today EVGA sent along a press release announcing the release of two GTX 560 Ti 448 core video cards. Both a Classified and FTW version will be available. The Classified will be available as part# 012-P3-2068 and the FTW version as part# 012-P3-2066. Thermaltake Chaser MK1 LCS Solution

Introduction

What makes a computer case special? Is it because it has plenty of storage space or lots of fancy lights? Maybe it is for the reason that it is great for water cooling? All these questions and more must be answered when purchasing a computer case.

We at OverclockersTech have reviewed many computer cases ranging from the unusual Lian Li T1 Spider chassis. To the enormous Coolermaster Haf X and the Thermaltake Level 10 GT. Now we bare the latter mentioned cases in mind and then finally throw in the behemoth-like ‘Mountain Mods’ cases into the mix and the result is an interesting brew indeed.

A few short months ago our very own ‘Lvcoyote’ gave the Thermaltake Chaser MK1 a gold award and when reviewing this product with the eye of air cooling, and it richly deserved our coveted award. However, let us now review the same product but looking at it from the viewpoint of a water cooling enthusiast! Will the product still receive a gold award even when factoring in its great air cooling potential? Or will it slip down the scales slightly? Only an in depth  review from a water coolers viewpoint will reveal the truth.

Introduction:

In today’s performance intensive computers there is a myriad of differing cooling solutions, all designed to entice the end-user with their specifications. Many manufacturers opt for either silence, overclocking, small form factor spacing or all of the above. Only those whom are truly willing to adapt to the ever-changing needs of the industry can hope to survive this free-for-all. Then if we throw in more esoteric forms of cooling into the bag we are in for some interesting times indeed. Today however we are focusing our attention on the cooler that is designed for the Home Theatre PC case market.
